So here are some of the biggest announcements from the past few days.

Century 21 Circle has expanded into Michigan in partnership with Kelley Real Estate Group, led by Felicia Kelley, Kyle Kelley, and Rachel Austin. Kelley Real Estate Group serves Sparta, a town within the Grand Rapids metropolitan area. Century 21 Circle operates throughout the Midwest and Florida. The company is one of the world’s top 10 franchisors with annual sales of $1.6 billion.
“This isn’t just growth for us, it’s momentum,” said C21 Circle CEO Melissa Archer-Wirtz. “We’re very selective about where we go and who we partner with, and Michigan State is always part of the picture.”

Milwaukee-based Reuben Realty Group joins Compass, ending a three-year stint with Keller Williams that saw the team generate more than $21 million in annual sales. The team will operate out of Compass’ bayside office near Lake Michigan.
“Joining Compass is a pivotal step in our mission to elevate the real estate experience in Milwaukee,” Americus (Shaunie) Reuben, founder of Reuben Realty Group, said in a statement. “Combining Compass’ technology with our team’s deep-rooted passion for this community will enable us to deliver services that will have an even greater impact on our clients and the industry.”

Areeje Akhtar Oriol, a former Google brand development and marketing expert, has joined New York-based luxury goods brokerage firm Douglas Elliman. Mr. Auriol will serve as chief of staff to CEO Michael Leibowitz and will help guide the company’s strategic growth strategy.
“Douglas Elliman is one of the most well-known names in the luxury real estate industry, and the company is at a truly fascinating moment in its evolution,” she said. “I have spent my career working at the intersection of luxury consumers, the advisors who serve them, and the platforms that enable that work. The opportunity to bring that experience to work with Michael and the leadership team is incredibly energizing for me.”

Coldwell Banker’s major franchise affiliate in New York City has become independent. Coldwell Banker Reliable Real Estate currently operates as My New York (MYNY) and has offices in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Long Island.
“After 18 years of franchising, we made the decision to build something that actually works in New York,” MYNY Principal Joseph T. Hamdan said in a press release. “We are shaping the company to better reflect how this market really works and to give serious agents a platform that fits the way they operate.”

Team Jordan, an 18-member team with lifetime sales of $3.6 billion, joins Real after more than a decade with Keller Williams Realty. Team Jordan was Canada’s top-ranked KW team, serving markets throughout Ontario.
