My lord. Education Minister Rachel M. Taylor will be attending the 48th session of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD), focused on education, to be held in Port of Spain on October 24-25, 2024. Attending on behalf of the Caicos Islands. Trinidad and Tobago.
The COHSOD Education Conference brings together education ministers, policy makers and stakeholders from Caribbean countries to discuss key issues impacting education across the region. This year’s agenda includes strengthening educational frameworks, promoting inclusive education, and integrating technology into learning environments.
Minister Taylor is committed to advancing education initiatives that align with the goal of providing fair and quality education for all. The meeting aims to discuss successful strategies for the Turks and Caicos Islands and explore opportunities to collaborate with other Ministers to address common challenges in education.
“I value the opportunity to engage with colleagues and exchange ideas so that we can better serve our students,” Minister Taylor said. “Together, we can create innovative solutions that strengthen education systems across the Caribbean.”
This conference provides an important platform to advocate for policies that foster collaboration and implementation of effective educational practices. Meeting updates will be shared after the event ends. The conference follows the Education Transformation Symposium held in Grand Cayman earlier this month.
