Miami is known for its many things, including sea views, fantastic food and sophisticated waterfront homes. It transforms into a playground for the wealthy, with high-end condominiums and luxurious estates lined up along the coast. The entire Florida coast is actually home to the share of the lion, the country’s most expensive property. Many of them are beachside mansions and penthouse condos.
However, Florida is looking at the calculations in the housing market. Surges in insurance costs, HOA fees and climate risks have set buyers aside and encourage sellers to list. Currently, sellers are far ahead of buyers and are pushing prices down. Condos are already beginning to lose popularity nationwide, and in Miami, almost all are below list prices.
Still, people continue to move to the area due to the weather and culture and continue to invest in the real estate market. According to Redfin data, there was Miami’s most expensive home sales in May.
