MIAMI, October 21, 2024 – Students across the country can now access Florida’s higher education system by enrolling in select online workforce education courses at Miami Dade College (MDC). This initiative provides out-of-state students access to a top-notch program that emphasizes excellence and practical outcomes, focusing solely on developing skills essential to today’s job market.
Consistently ranked No. 1 in higher education for eight years, Florida has ranked first in 2030 by prioritizing educational excellence, uninfluenced by political rhetoric and divisive agendas. We continue our commitment to becoming the nation’s leader in workforce education.
“With the launch of this initiative, Florida is inviting students from across the country to experience a first-class, results-based education system,” said Education Secretary Manny Diaz Jr. “Our goal is clear: By 2030, Florida will be a national leader in workforce education that focuses on practical skills and career readiness, without unnecessary distractions that don’t belong in the classroom.” We welcome out-of-state students to use XploreFLEd.”
MDC leads the state in several programs designed to train tomorrow’s workforce. This year, the university opened Florida’s first bachelor’s degree in applied artificial intelligence and now offers two degree programs in cybersecurity that have been verified by the National Security Agency.
