Last week, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Trump at the White House. They reported that Ukraine, defense spending, the economy, space, energy, and in particular Italy, had disputed more US immunity natural gas.
But one item that really stood out was Meloni’s insight into her brand of nationalism. Here she speaks during a meeting with the media in her oval office.
“Subsone calls me to Western nationalists. I don’t know that’s the right word, but when I talk about the West, I know that I’m not primarily talking about geographical space, I’m talking about civilization.”
She added:
“For me, the goal is to make the West great again, and I think we can do it together, and we’ll continue to work on it.”
Its face is contradictory. Either One is a nationalist or subscribes to the Washington-based Western Order. But Meloni has Ben on the lead to square this circle in Europe over the past few years.
As the 2023 election in Italy led the vote to approach Meloni, the international media was a fuss over the revival of fascism towards Rome. It was generally assumed that she would lead a short-lived government with the EU and NATO ahead of her. That belief was reasonable based on Meloni’s past statements critical of supranational organizations and worn paths from other political uprisings on the left and right.
And yet, Meloni is still here.
And the party she leads has steadily maintained a comfortable cushion in Italian polls.
Some of it depends on the Obama-inspired Democrats, while others have seen an increasing popularity of elections. But it also reflects Meloni’s perception that authentic nationalism will not be played in Washington and Brussels, and that she is destined to lose Stragger in NATO and the EU.
She tried to lead the European side of Instag “Nationalism in the West.” Others might call it “civilized Europe.” For Quinn Slobodian, Meloni will become yet another “neoliberal asshole.”
Her brother’s Italian Party struggles to fall below 30% at home, but she has a scholarship to her international beloved.
Following the New York Times, a US record paper – Meloni’s “Solife” in early 2024[d] Her qualifications “relief with European facilities” and the media praised her. She was given the coveted title of the European “Trump Whisperer.” “
She is also often repeated by the Biden administration and is uncomfortable with the European Commission’s Ursula von der Reyen. Even the Atlantic Council, a think tank for liberal internationalist institutions, crowned her at last year’s “Global Citizen” award.
Meloni’s Western nationalism is why she is so enthusiastically accepted.
What is the doctrine of that philosophy?
Neoliberalism. Immigration that helps capital. Conference.
Let’s take a look.
Neoliberalism
Meloni and others themselves like to promote themselves as rebels in signaling the lattice virtues of the Argentine President Javier Miley and Trump.
They may have style, but in effect they follow.
If neoliberalism is the market before the people, Meloni and the other people in the “new” say that they are for the people, nationalism – in Melon’s case, Western nationalism.
But they have virtually zero plans to boost people over finance and technology – and many aim to make the latter even more powerful.
Meloni has made her many desires that want more Italian babies and strengthening the family, but her financial poly is against. In fact, young people in Italy continue to migrate in large numbers due to lack of payments for work from home.
The Meloni government is ovening a wave of privatization, including key communications infrastructure to private equity connected to the CIA and more plans for the state railroad companies Ferrovie Dello Stato, Postte Italiane, Monte Dei Passchi Bank and Energy Giant Eni. Forsal is necessary by more tax cuts for the wealthy. Also, Rome has exceeded billions of euros as Rome deals with pipeline gas losses from Russia, including the purchase of more US LNG.
In 2023, Meloni chose Mayday to announce the promotion of the government’s short-term worker contract and the abolition of Italy’s basic income program. Evoid is a program that provides mild stimulation to the economy, and Meloni said the removal will bring people back to work. “Where are the economy and employment slump?” she asked.
She did not mention that about 40 Italian workers earn less than 10 euros per hour in the country where actual wages were done.

So what about Meloni’s desire to “make the West great again”? The tools to accomplish jobs are likely to be the same as those used for over 30 years.
The treatment for ILS in Italy is always more wage sobs, more market-friendly reforms, more social spending cuts, and more privatization. A country that you have a rulebook for the EU’s neoliberal reform policy much closer than Berlin or Paris. And when that’s inevitable, the answer is always to double. Meloni did nothing to change this, and you embraced the future, where Italy is the industrialized imperial army front post that doubles as a sunny Mediterranean corporate resort owned by the (most) American capital.
Immigration that will help capital
Meloni is anti-immigrant except for those who are valuable to capital. In that case, they are well-comi in the garden as a farm. It’s a rhetoric rock that resembles the vision of Trump Silicon Valley in the US, from the use of foreign prisons.
Meloni rode to maintain his power for two years, based on strong opposition to illegal immigration and asylum. However, she quickly retreated her affordable pledge and increased the supply of cheap foreign labor at the request of the Italian capital. But she has done all the big shows and now Albania’s nearly $1 billion detection facility needs to be sitting at EMTY after the court blocks the plan.
They are now being rebranded as a hub of respect, in line with recent EU proposals that primarily embrace Meloni’s vision.
What Albanian detention centres do is detaining migrants and refugees outside of EU law as both offshore and worthy of capital. After all, Meloni says he wants immigrants who will contribute to the economy.
Meloni, the evite railing for immigrants, is increasing the number of jobs to non-EU citizens in order to boost the supply of cheap jobs.
Italians try to rub against them with a lower salary, but foreign workers can pay even less.
According to the 2020 IDOS statistics on immigration, the overall average monthly wage for foreign workers in 2019 was 1,077 euros, 23.5% lower than ITALS’s 1,408 euros. The gap is only widening in Italy, just like the EU. In the agricultural sector, migrant workers are subject to a variety of forms of abuse and lively, inhumane circumstances.
That is, of course, why Italian oligarchs have called for a specific trend in immigration. Large Italian companies welcomed the increase, but said they would need more people to tackle the decline in demographics over the years.
So Ital searches for higher wages, while immigrants are in low-paid jobs. Nationalism isn’t – unless you consider “western states” as a profit extraction mechanism for the oligarchs.
When Meloni accepts the label of “Western Nationalist” and explains that she is talking about civilization, it is the civilization she refers to.
Conference
When she accepted the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award in Meloni’s speech last year, one of the items she chose not to speak of was “the efforts the Italian government is making to reform the country and once again become the protagonist of a geopolitical rift.”
This means that she is dominated by America’s hegemony with Italy and Europe.
It’s hard to know what she’s talking about exactly, but we can make sub-educated speculations. Hours before Meloni’s meeting with Trump, her finance minister announced that Italy would raise 2% of GDP from 1.5% in defence spending this year. Rome was able to try sub-creative accounting with spending like the Coast Guard reaching the defense category, but it appears to have been abandoned in favor of purchasing more American products.
Of course, this means that budgeting will be larger. This only reinforces the argument that breasts are essential for state assets. New York-based private equity giant KKR, including former CIA director David Petraeus as partner, took the permanent network of telecommunications Italy last year. Roma has approved BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, and has acquired more than 3% stake in the defense and aerospace group Leonardo, becoming the second largest shareholder after the state.
Meloni is pushing back the major SpaceX deals she defended. With its potential deal, the Musk company will provide security and cryptographic services to the Italian public sector.
Meloni also withdraws from Beijing’s belt and road initiative at the end of 2023, taking over the decisive anti-China edge.
Add it all, and Meloni simply recreates the flavor of Versalage, which is different from other parts of Europe. While complying with liberal rule-based order champions LGBTQ and immigration, Western nationalists choose family values and railroads to immigration. However, economic policies remain roughly the same. For example, it is difficult to see the sunlight between Meloni and Annarena Bearbock, the green madman in Berlin. She has recently openly claimed to be an overseer of the American Imperial Order in Europe and a junior partner in other global conflicts. Baerbock sold it as a “feminist” foreign policy. For Meloni, it is the baggage of civilization. Both are e-song representations of imperialism.
We see where it acquired Germany, but that’s a mindset that remains replaced by new faces of Scholz and Bearbock.
Italy is also being driven by the new Cold War and the EU cutting off Russian pipeline gas. This has been added to the economic collapse in which the country has been embedded since joining the Common Currency in the 1990s.
Meloni and her “Western Nationalism” are Wellcom in the European Hall of Powers along the country she is currently leading, along with those who still cling to TOS.
Italy openly presents it as an “artico” work used by the US in the geopolitical Chesobad, and it needs to line up warning bells in Italy. Looking at the history of such narrow American allies, Woold shows that Meloni and Italy will soon continue to burn – if she is now a “Trump Whisper,” Aven.
