Linklaters has re-entered the A&O Sherman pool, welcoming a team of four partners to New York as the British-founded company continues its expansion in the United States.
The firm announced Monday that David Lucking, John Huang, Derek Poon and Dan Guider will join Linklaters as partners in the finance department.
Linklaters, which reported record sales and pre-tax profits last year, is rapidly expanding its presence in the United States.
Earlier this year, George Casey, former global managing partner at Shearman & Sterling, joined a six-partner M&A team that included Heiko Sibek, global leader of chemicals at Linklaters. Joined Linklaters. Casey currently serves as Global Corporate Chairman of Linklaters.

Mr. Lucking, a longtime partner at Allen & Overy, served as global co-head of A&O Sherman’s global financial markets practice. He has particular expertise in derivatives and structured finance transactions and the regulatory framework supporting the U.S. derivatives market.
Mr. Lucking is one of eight candidates vying for the positions of managing partner and senior partner at A&O Sherman, which was officially formed on May 1 by the merger of Allen & Overy and Shearman & Sterling. There was even one person.

Guider represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, creditor committees, and special bondholder committees in out-of-court restructuring and bankruptcy cases throughout the United States.
