More than 16,000 ClassVR headsets have been deployed, and in collaboration with Los Angeles Unified School District, students will have access to advanced VR and AR tools.
Los Angeles Unified School District (Los Angeles Unified) has selected ClassVR from Avantis Education, a provider of educational virtual reality (VR/AR) technology, to introduce immersive learning experiences to students.
With more than 16,000 ClassVR headsets deployed, this collaboration supports Los Angeles Unified’s educational technology initiative to provide the district’s students with access to advanced VR and AR tools to engage students. The purpose is to strengthen and enrich academic instruction.
ClassVR is designed specifically for K-12 classrooms and provides an all-in-one immersive learning solution that includes all the hardware, software, training, and support needed to deploy VR/AR. Through this collaboration, Los Angeles Unified educators will have access to ClassVR’s Eduverse library, which houses hundreds of thousands of virtual reality and augmented reality resources.
For two years, Avantis Education has been a trusted partner of Los Angeles Unified, providing virtual reality experiences that spark curiosity and encourage learning across the district. Initially adopted by a small number of schools, ClassVR’s success quickly expanded. Many Los Angeles Unified schools now utilize the unique ClassVR headset for both in-class instruction and extra-curricular enrichment programs, allowing students to explore everything from history and science to career and technical education through immersive education. We are working to create a dynamic learning environment. virtual reality lens.
This latest collaboration focuses on before- and after-school enrichment programs and has great potential for broader applications across a wide range of academic disciplines.
