San Francisco, California, July 25, 2025 – Classdojo announces a major expansion of Classdojo for Districts Platform. Continuing reductions in federal education funding have led to increased pressure for leaders to do more with less. Available in grades 2025-26, these new updates provide a cost-free solution created directly from feedback from supervisors, chief technology officers and school spokespersons. This release includes enhanced messaging, behavior, classroom management, and IT management.
“Every iteration of Classdojo is built on feedback from people using it,” says Dr. Chad A. Stevens, Head of K-12 Engagement at Clasdojo. “It was clear that the supervisor wanted to use the tools that were already recruited quickly and loved by the school staff, so we created a tool that would bring together the entire district with consistency, control and care.”
Expanding communication and family involvement throughout the district
The district may send presentations to all families, school staff, or target groups. Messages will automatically translate into over 130 languages and include a read receipt so that the central office can confirm delivery. Time-sensitive updates can also be sent as important messages via SMS.
In middle and high schools, the platform now offers a more age-appropriate student experience. Students can customize their avatars (or use initials), and the redesigned interface helps to enhance routines and independence.
AI-driven support for teachers
To support teachers, Classdojo has created Sidekick, an AI assistant that helps reduce busy work and spend more time with students. Sidekick supports lesson planning, administrator tasks, and daily classroom workflows, and continues to evolve based on teacher feedback.
“Teachers say Sidekick saves time every week,” Dr. Stevens said. “They feel more prepared and have more presence in their students. Plus, they don’t have to leave behind proven tools they use every day.”
Seamless monitoring and IT control
Classdojo for Districts currently offers automated rosters and integrations with SIS systems, class links, or SFTP, reducing and syncing manual setups for students, staff and families every day. Staff logins are protected by Google or Microsoft SSO and are available to add Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Communication records, including text, images, videos and files, are easily audited by certified personnel. Export via searches by schools, date ranges, or staff members, and time-limited, secure links.
Coming in 2026
Future updates include teacher-to-student messaging, attendance-based alerts via SIS, automated voice calls to households, and integration with district social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram.
“The districts are often forced to choose between innovation and affordable prices, but Classdojo doesn’t have to. These upcoming features are designed to replace old and expensive systems with better ones.
