Josh Altoman, a former dollar listing real estate agent, predicts that nearly 70 % of Pacific Parisade residents will not return to the rebuilding of the Los Angeles mountain fire.
“I don’t think we can afford to rebuild with most people who have not taken insurance at the cost of construction,” said Fox Business Live on Friday. “We are talking about $ 1,000 [per] Parisade and Maribu’s feet building. “

After the ignition on January 7, the wildfire torn Southern California, burned 50,000 acres, destroyed 16,000 structures, and killed 28 people.
President Donald Trump observed the devastation on Friday and declared an emergency after visiting.
Altman told New York Post that he was dissatisfied with the life of the wildfire and continuous insurance, and then received a call from a housing owner seeking a list in a new neighborhood.
Even before the wildfire, many insurance companies had withdrawn from California or reduced the range of compensation. Altman told the outlet that his insurance agency estimated that “more than 90 % of these people have not taken out insurance.”
Without the right insurance, rebuilding may be out of reach. According to Accuweather and JPMORGAN, early estimates were about $ 50 billion in Wildfire’s financial casualties.
To support the recovery, Governor California, Gabin New Sam, signed the law on Thursday, January 23, providing more than $ 2.5 billion disaster relief. This fund aims to accelerate emergency response, rationalize rebuilding efforts, and recover the fire extinguished.

“Thanks to the parliamentary partner, we provide more than $ 2.5 billion in immediate rescue. We are promoting the initial fire and recovery initiatives,” said Newsom. “We are also conducting millions of dollars to support local governments to speed up the building’s approval, so people can rebuild their homes faster.”
On Monday, January 20, NEWSOM issued a presidential order to quickly track the risks from Rainstorms, which could cause landslides and gunfish in burnt areas, to reduce the risk of alleviating.
“As work continues to fight the fire throughout Los Angeles County, the state is already working on preparing for damages that can occur when the winter storms have already burned, causing landslides and floods,” said Newsmom. I said. “This order can help maintain an emergency response to the community protection, not a permit or document.”

During Trump’s visit to Los Angeles, New Sam also urged him to support Los Angeles’ recovery and rebuilding initiatives.
“As President Trump supported California during the pandemic, we will cooperate again with the survivors of the Fire Storms in the entire Los Angeles, which worth all the help from the federal, state, and local governments,” he said. Newsmom said.
