Inman announced Tuesday that it has appointed a new chief executive officer to lead the company following the retirement of CEO Emily Puckett.
Tom Bourne, an experienced executive who has led high-growth companies across media, events, data intelligence and franchise systems, will officially assume his new role on April 2, the company said in a statement.
Mr. Vaughn most recently served as CEO of THM Media, TheHomeMag’s parent company, leading the company through a period of high growth and transformation.

“I am honored to join Inman at such a pivotal time for the real estate industry,” Vaughn said in a statement. “Inman has built a deeply engaged community of experts who rely on its insights and events.”
Mr. Vaughn also previously served as CEO of the Corporate Growth Association and the Veterinary Community of North America.
The company said in the announcement that it is prioritizing growth across its core products and is focused on expanding its role as an intelligence platform for the real estate industry.
“I look forward to working with the team to expand our data and enterprise capabilities, strengthen our events as a forum for industry leaders, innovate at the intersection of technology, AI, and real estate transactions, and accelerate our evolution into a leading intelligence platform,” said Vaughn.
Puckett served as CEO for four years, replacing former CEO Josh Albertson. Albertson was the CEO of Inman when Canadian private equity firm Bellinger Capital acquired it in 2021.
Paquette became CEO the following year, beginning a period in which Inman expanded both its events and data intelligence products.
Inman acquired event company Blueprint in 2024 and began rolling out data-rich content to subscribers shortly thereafter. The company has also expanded beyond its core Inman Connect events to add Inman On Tour events in areas such as Texas and Tennessee.

Inman also launched Inman Intel in early 2023, a new data and research division that will provide deep insights into the real estate and proptech sectors.
Mr. Paquette spent the past eight years in various sales roles, rising to chief revenue officer before becoming CEO.
“It has been an honor to spend the past 12 years at Inman,” Paquette said in a statement. “I am incredibly proud of what we have built together and am grateful for the opportunity to serve this company and the broader Inman community. It is an honor to help manage such an important brand, and I have great confidence in Tom, the team, and the company’s future.”
