I love soaking up the on-screen magic in the fanfare hustle and bustle of SBIFF, a theater filled with strobe lights, star gazing, and the contagious energy of fellow movie lovers. But sometimes, nothing beats a perfectly cozy movie night at home. Architectural Digest has compiled 17 stylish ideas for making your home theater work. From velvet curtains and leather recliners to hidden door hideout entrances, we’ve got all the inspiration you need for your next curled up night. There’s also a preview of Ralph Lauren’s rustic Colorado ranch saloon, pictured above. If you’re staying at home, you might as well stay in style.

My favorite event of the festival so far is the Adam Sandler tribute on Thursday night. The comedian, actor, and genuinely nice guy received the Martin Modern Master Award at the historic Arlington Theatre. Sandler was interviewed by Leonard Maltin, accompanied by one of the best SBIFF career montages I’ve ever seen, and the award was presented by Sandler’s friend Dustin Hoffman. Our coverage of the event and all of the festival’s activities was excellent.

So, of course I was interested in Sandler’s house. It turns out his California real estate holdings also include this rather modest house in the Pacific Palisades. A really nice house, just like the owner.
