HighARC, a Durham, North Carolina-based construction technology company, learned in a statement on February 13, about a year after securing $53 million in Series B round funding.
The company said it would apply much of its funds to strengthening new and existing products. We are currently introducing HighARC AI. This is an upgrade to enable design teams to complete conceptual home designs and 3D presentations more quickly.
The machine learning-backed software says, “converts images of any drawing, sketch or floorplan online and converts them into a complete 3D model.” The technology is deployed in HighARC’s AutoLayout application and is fully integrated with other products within the platform’s ecosystem.
“Every year, US home builders discard CAD files with decades-old software in weeks or months to run operations and provide the essentials needed to sell products to buyers. I’ll get it” in a statement. “We want to help builders dramatically accelerate product development with HighARC AI, enabling automatic generation of assets such as 3D models, master plan sets, material estimates, and online buyer showrooms. Masu.”
The software translates flat drawings and floor plans into fully realized 3D models, and understands that certain features correspond to the type of room. This means that you can identify a large first floor space as a family room or understand that the island represents the kitchen. Automatically label room dimensions, doors, windows and fixtures.
Connect your 3D plans to cost estimates, critical construction documents, and marketing collateral.
In Series B in 2024, Minor said HighARC’s ability to outweigh outdated construction plans and rendering systems will help drive the industry’s home inventory gap faster.
“HighARC exists to serve hard-working teams building homes all over the United States. They are stuck using 40-year-old software that is not designed with needs in mind. , it’s better worth it,” he said in 2024.
HighARC allows buyers to configure new homes much faster and dramatically speed up the ability of builders to bring these homes to the market. Changes can be implemented in less time, materials can be ordered more efficiently, and ground workers can be better informed.
A case study of the benefits of HighARC shows that “homebuilders can bring new communities to the market up to three times faster, reducing 90 days from the design cycle, with a 75% reduction.
Ryan Young is the head of architecture at Highland Holmes, a leading Texas builder. He said in a statement that HighARC software “has the potential to transform our operations.”
“Using HighARC’s AI, we were able to respond faster and strategically to market demand and provide buyers with visually appealing designs at a non-matching speed. This collaboration has been done with our team. It could be beneficial for both customers,” Young said.
Many new businesses are coming in late to technically empower home builders. In 2024, Austin-based new home construction search portal Jom landed the Series A round of funds for a $9.8 million launch in 2021, securing $29 million in 2023.
The pace of new home sales was featured in 2024, but remains unable to freely sway from a market that is still stuck. Last year was one of the least active since 1995.
