The Calgary Flames Foundation rolls out the red carpet to honor Renfrew Educational Services’ 50 years of contribution to Calgary students as the Calgary Flames Foundation joins hundreds of other donors in Calgary to help Renfrew Announcing a $30 million, 60,000-square-foot property that will secure completion. 1) Renfrew students marched to school on the red carpet surrounded by cheering supporters, including Renfrew Capital Campaign Chair and former Flame Jim Peplinski, and Flames owner and Flames Foundation Chairman Jeff McCaig. will be welcomed. Renfrew staff and their families will also be in attendance to celebrate world-class excellence in providing an educational platform to develop children’s potential.

Representatives from Renfrew Education Services and the Calgary Flames Foundation will provide details about an exciting partnership in which the Calgary Flames Foundation will make a significant gift of $1.5 million to Renfrew Education Services.
“We are proud to support the work Renfrew has done in our community for decades,” said Calgary Flames Foundation President Geoff McCaig. “This is a much-needed resource for students with a variety of needs. Now is the time for leadership and dedication to providing this important facility.”
This $1.5 million gift will support Renfrew Educational Services in the construction of a landmark K-12 school located in Bearspaw. This partnership aims to enhance educational opportunities for young people in need of specialized resources and ensure they receive the support they need to thrive.
As a leader in educational programs and services for children with complex medical needs, Renfrew Educational Services serves more than 550 children annually and currently faces significant waiting lists. . Legacy schools provide critical resources for students who transition from sixth grade into a system that is currently not equipped to support their unique needs.
The proposed 60,000-square-foot facility, which can accommodate 250 students, would feature more than 20 specialized rooms designed to meet the diverse needs of high school students, including specially designed classrooms, sensory rooms, therapy rooms, and outdoor play areas. It is planned to be prepared. The Calgary Flames Foundation’s gift will help make this plan, scheduled for 2027, a reality.
The Calgary Flames Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of southern Albertans through health and wellness, education, and support of grassroots sports programs. Since the ownership group brought the team to Calgary in 1980, the Calgary Flames Foundation has invested more than $65 million in the community.
