Industry veteran Sue Yannakorn has been named chief operating officer of Anywhere, which merged with Compass International Holdings in January after 11 years at the company.
Compass International Holdings continues to build its leadership team with Anywhere veteran Sue Yanakorn as the company’s first chief operating officer. As COO, Mr. Yannaccone will help grow technology, agent services, and learning and development across the Compass International Holdings family of brands, including Compass, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Coldwell Banker Commercial, Corcoran, ERA, and Sotheby’s International Realty.

“My sole focus is to ensure that all of our 340,000 real estate professionals benefit directly from the strengths of our combined organization,” she said in a written statement. “By leveraging our vast experience, technology and services combined with the uniqueness of our nine brands, we have a unique opportunity to equip real estate professionals with everything they need to take their businesses to new heights.”
Yannaccone has been in the industry for more than 20 years, starting his career as a manager at GMAC Home Services. She joined ERA in 2015, initially serving as COO and then as President and CEO. After nearly three years at ERA, Janakorn remained in the Anywhere (formerly Realogy) ecosystem, serving as executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Realty before becoming president and CEO of Anywhere Brands and Advisors.
The COO also founded What Moves Her, a leadership development initiative that has been running for six years. The organization was named a 2025 Inman Innovators finalist for its work helping thousands of women realize their personal and professional potential.
Yannaccone has also received numerous individual awards, including top rankings on the Swanepoel Power 200, RISMedia’s Newsmakers Hall of Fame, Inman Influencers, and HousingWire’s Women of Influence.

Robert Refkin, chairman and CEO of Compass International Holdings, said Janacone was a natural choice as COO, calling her an integral part of “building the most agent-centric company in real estate history.”
“Sue is going to make sure we do it the right way,” he said in a prepared statement. “Her experience, intuition, and dedication to her people make her an invaluable asset to what we are creating.”
Compass has been undergoing a leadership shake-up over the last month, with former Anywhere CEO, president and board member Ryan Schneider and former Anywhere chief technology officer Rudy Wolfs quietly retiring in February under the terms of the merger.
Former Anywhere and Compass leaders are also being gradually integrated into the company, including Chief Accounting Officer Tim Gustafson and Chief Technology Officer Shay Artzi. Compass also promoted longtime leader Neda Navab to brokerage president as part of Levkin’s transition to a role as head of Compass International Holdings.
The holding company also cut some teams at Compass and Anywhere, which a company spokesperson said was also part of the merger process.
A spokesperson for Compass International Holdings told Inman: “We continually evaluate the needs of our business to effectively align our resources and focus on areas that create the most value for real estate professionals.” “Post-merger adjustments are being made to strengthen our business and focus on our strategic priorities.”
