The Journal also reported Wednesday that the arrests were in connection with a joint investigation between the FBI and New York authorities.

The women filed separate lawsuits in March against Oren and Aron, a private security company executive, alleging rape and assault dating back to 2010 and 2012. Tal Alexander was then sued in June by Angelica Parker, who accused her broker of sexually assaulting her. In the weeks between the lawsuit against Oren and Aron becoming public and the time Tull was charged, in the roughly two weeks, more than a dozen women filed a lawsuit against attorney Evan Torgan, a partner at Torgan Cooper & Aron. came forward and made similar allegations of sexual assault against his brother.

In 2022, they separated from Douglas Elliman and launched Side Support Company Official with co-founders Andrew Wachtvogel, Nicole Orge, and Richard L. Jordan. Ultimately, Mr. Wachtvogel, Mr. Oge, and Mr. Jordan relinquished ownership of Official and left the company in August.
The allegations surrounding the Alexander brothers and their poor behavior have been something of an open secret for years, a WSJ/NYT investigation has revealed. Douglas Elliman executives have also faced scrutiny in recent months, with questions raised about how much the broker knew about the allegations while it was still affiliated with Douglas Elliman.
