The general situation where health care in the US is too expensive and too little is well known, but the fact that things are getting worse may not be the case. From the New York Times:
Healthcare remains a stubborn presence for millions of people, according to a new research release on Wednesday, highlighting that many people have for doctor visits and prescription drug payments, even before government compensation was cut.
The survey found that 11% of people could not afford medication and care within the last three months, the survey was the highest level in four years they were driving. More than a third of the surveyed participants representing 91 million adults said IFE needs medical care.
Higher premiums, additional costs for physicians, and recent rollbacks in Medicaid coverage have all contributed to making it more difficult for people to afford care. As the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers have argued, repealing the dramatic cuts on Medicaid and tax removal that cuts costs on the Obamacare plan is likely to exacerbate the issue, experts said.
“It puts even more pressure on systems that are already prevalent and have financial toxicity,” said Tim Rush, president of the West Health Policy Center. Many families are already struggling with medical debt, he said. Unlike doing it without a new blender, people who refrain from care can suffer or die, he said.
There have been significant improvisations over the past 15 years under the Affordable Care Act, meaning “We are not a country where healthcare is affordable,” said Sarah R. Collins, vice president of healthcare compensation and access at the nonprofit Commonwealth Fund. Even if people have insurance, many people are not responsible for paying medical expenses.
If billions of dollars of cuts are cut, she said the number of people who can’t get care would likely climb if Republican lawmakers and the Trump administration pass CONSIDO.
To add humiliation to the injury, the investigation took place in the final six weeks of 2024. This means that while the economy was still showing a lot of inflation, many people were showing a lot of inflation, and they were benefiting from optimism about Trump’s election. Confidenze is reversed and Atlanta FED’s “Nowcast” predicted that the release of the Cruter GDP would indicate a contract, so if the same vote is now made, the outcome will be if something goes wrong. The fear and the outlook for worsening leads to many people cracking down on spending, even what appears to be a necessity like healthcare.

There’s an access problem… There are issues with excellent insurance in the Chapel Hill area. Not medical staff in growing regions. The same goes for countryside in New England. There is no work.
With Aside from Queuing, which is addictive, many patients face gatekeeping “access” issues and you need to see the PCP first, whether a specialist visits SEMS, or even worse, if you need to get a previous permission or imaging.
And there’s a devil’s poor health care system in the US. The first chart comes from the Commonwealth Fund Mirror, Mirror 2024 report.
The following are from Legatum Prosperity Index 2023.
Another indicator:
Our healthcare system, which is unique to America, is designated to not make people better, but to make CEOs and wealthy shareholders incredibly rich. The result: it has the highest invasion mortality rate among the wealthy countries on Earth. It’s cruel, how immoral is it? Everyone needs Medicare. pic.twitter.com/a3ty6haw3s

And the Trump administration is trying to destroy one of the few areas where the US has been a leader.

When you cut the pole, more than 80% of Big Pharma’s “New Drug Application” are for minor adjustments to existing drugs, such as extended release formulations. Extends patent life.
And don’t put too great points on it:

It’s no wonder the Trump administration wants to enforce Mangione. He is threatening too many rice bowls. This is far worse than just murder.
