The Turkish government has announced changes to eligibility criteria for work permits, including updates to minimum salary levels.
Important points:
As of October 1, a new law has come into effect that updates the minimum salary levels for the following positions: Senior Managers and Pilots: Total monthly salary of 100,012.50 Turkish Lira (approximately 2,927 USD) – 5 times minimum wage Engineer/Architect: 80,010 Turkish Lira (approximately 2,341 USD) Total monthly salary – 4 times minimum wage Manager: Total monthly salary of 60,007.50 Turkish Lira (approximately (US$ 1,756) Employees in jobs requiring specialized knowledge: 40,005.00 Turkish Lira (approximately US$ 1,171) monthly gross amount — twice the minimum wage Domestic workers and other workers may not be paid less than the minimum wage you can’t
Additional information: As of January 1, Turkey has increased its minimum wage to a total of 20,002.50 TRY (approximately USD 586) per month. The new law, implemented under Article 22 of the Implementing Regulations of the International Labor Force Law No. 6735, came into force on October 1. In addition to updating minimum salary levels, amendments affecting employer sponsorship have also come into force. The sector, occupation and status of the company’s shareholders.
