KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 — Earlier this month, October 5 was World Teachers’ Day and also the day Apple announced new (and more importantly, free) classroom resources.
The new resources are just one part of the Apple Education Community, which enables educators to access resources and ideas as well as connect with colleagues.
what’s new
Apple’s Everyone Can Create is a series of project guides that teachers can tailor to their subjects, assignments, or lessons.
The latest in the series is Creative Activities, which Apple describes as “a collection of quick, interactive, and fun lesson ideas that allow educators to inject imagination and originality into their learning plans.”
There are creative activities for early learners for students ages 4 to 8, and creative activities for students for students ages 8 and up.
These new creative activities include:
Draw a picture: reveal the constellations
Photo: Create a sticker collage
Video: See more in slow motion
Music: Lay Down a Beat
A new activity was demonstrated to the media, and as someone who has taught creative after-school activities to preschoolers in the past, I can tell you that even those who aren’t very tech-savvy can appreciate the activity. It was easy to understand.
