Artificial intelligence giant Anthropic announced on Friday night that it had revoked access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models to comply with U.S. government orders, shocking stakeholders.
But traders at prediction market platform Kalsi believe the Fable model is likely to return to U.S. consumers as early as July.
Traders believe there is a 58% chance that Anthropic will restore access to Fable 5 by July 1st. They believe the chances of recovery by July 10 are even higher, with a 74% chance of recovery by then. For the event contract to resolve to yes, public access to the model must be restored to customers in the United States.
Access to Fable 5 was revoked after the U.S. government directed Anthropic to suspend access to its technology for foreign nationals, both domestic and international. To ensure compliance, Anthropic disabled the model for all customers.
The decision came days after the company announced Fable 5. Anthropic previously clashed with President Donald Trump’s administration when the Department of Defense classified the company as a supply chain risk in March.
The traders’ bullish stance comes after Anthropic reportedly met with the Trump administration on Monday to discuss the model. It is not yet clear whether the talks resulted in any progress between the two parties.
At Polymarket, traders place odds of 67% and access will be restored to US customers by July 1st.
