It is too early to say that hantavirus will become a pandemic, but we have time to contain it. But don’t think that a 40% mortality rate means you’re “burned out.” That logic applies to isolated villages, not people taking international flights. In fact, the Black Death became a pandemic, with a mortality rate of over 40%

Don’t reject the data center. Negotiate more enthusiastically. progress and poverty. no thanks. Even if a region negotiates to avoid sharp increases in electricity service prices, data centers can end up building their own polluting power sources, and there is usually limited oversight. Additionally, the use of limited water supplies. and water pollution. And the risk of cancer. And that noise drives people crazy. And the whole idea of a bunch of billionaires enriching themselves while making capital allocation decisions that serve to further destroy labor, art, privacy, relationships, knowledge, and the planet.
