The game adjacent to Super Bowl LX will present users of the Redfin app with six clues starting at approximately 8pm ET on Sunday to find and win the $1 million home featured in the Rocket and Redfin commercials.
Real estate portal Redfin is recruiting app users for a game adjacent to the Super Bowl, with one lucky consumer set to win a home worth $1 million at the end.
The game, dubbed the “Great American Home Search,” will kick off at 8pm ET on Sunday, February 8, immediately after Rockets and Redfin’s advertising spots air during Super Bowl LX. Over the next 48 hours, Redfin will release six app-exclusive prompts that will lead players to the million-dollar house shown in the commercial. Players must use the search tools and filters in the Redfin app to solve clues and locate the house.
The first eligible participant to solve all clues and identify the home will win a home worth over $1 million, including basic furnishings and additional cash to cover income and property taxes and homeowners insurance, according to official rules.

The idea was born out of a desire to draw consumers into Redfin beyond just passively watching ads. The company partnered with GeoGuessr content creator Trevor Rainbolt to create the game’s clues, aiming to satisfy internet sleuths while making them accessible to first-time players.
“Today’s consumers from all walks of life are looking for meaning and participation, not just a message,” Jonathan Mildenhall, Rocket Companies’ chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
“To make a real impact and justify an investment as important as the big game, brands need to create experiences that invite people, inspire belief, and capture attention through action. The Great American Home Search is more than just a revitalization. It’s an idea big enough to change the lives of one American family, help create generational wealth, and remind the nation of what homeownership still means.”
The Great American Home Search was inspired by a Rocket and Redfin Big Game teaser featuring Lady Gaga singing Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood theme song, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” That ad spot was intended to highlight love of neighbor as a modern and perhaps overlooked civic value today.
The game also aims to give confidence and hope to today’s American homebuyers, who are finding it difficult to own a home as home prices, mortgage rates, and homeowners insurance have all increased significantly.
