San Francisco, California, August 14, 2025 – Classdojo, a leading platform for classroom, family and school communities, has joined Education Cooperative’s Standardized Data Privacy Agreement (TEC SDPA). Currently operating and growing in 14 states, this pre-approved agreement provides a ready-to-use FERPA and COPPA-aligned route for launching Krasdoho quickly, confidently and on a large scale.
The TEC SDPA is built on the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) and allows thousands of districts to secure compliant vendor signing agreements through a shared legal model. Currently part of TEC’s network of over 1,800 vetted tools, Classdojo can be deployed across participating states across the district without legal delays or additional negotiations.
“District leaders face constant pressure to balance innovation and responsibility,” said Dr. Chad A. Stevens, Head of K-12 Engagement at Clasdojo. “This agreement gives both the speed and simplicity of bringing Krasdoho to all schools, and both assures that student data is protected at the highest level. Our goal is to make it easier for districts to focus on what is most important: building a connected and thriving school community.”
The rationalized path to adoption
Through this partnership, TEC province’s districts are:
Accessing ClassDojo via FERPA and COPPA multi-state DPA to avoid one-time legal negotiations reduces the admin burden of legal law.
“District leaders want to adopt tools that families and teachers love by compromising privacy.” “This agreement with Classdojo shows what is possible when vendors prioritize privacy and actively partner with the educational community.”
Built-in privacy protection
The agreement follows a few months of collaboration between the TEC legal team and the Classdojo compliance team and the district partnership team. This reflects the organization’s shared commitment to helping districts expand safe and reliable digital solutions. More than 95% of US K-8 schools already using Classdojo, the partnership opens the door to deeper district-wide connections without adding a compliance hurdle.
What’s next for the TEC Member District?
TEC Alliance districts can find Classdojo contracts in the Student Data Privacy Consortium Resource Registry. No further negotiation is required.
