The University of California’s Overseas Education Program is a UC, a system-wide academic program. Through international academic experiences, the University of California Education Overseas Education Program (UCEAP) encourages students to explore and transform their lives, UC, and the world. Since 1962, UCEAP has served as the UC Systemwide Study Abroad program. In support of this mission, we have served over 100,000 students with all 10 UC campuses and over 50,000 mutual relations (international) students. UCEAP is committed to promoting excellence, recognizing that diversity is essential to achieving academic excellence at universities. UCEAP supports the principle of equal opportunity for all, adheres to the University of California Statement of Diversity and strives to create an environment that is welcoming to everyone. UCEAP typically has over 6,000 student participants each year, working in more than 40 countries around the world, and welcomes around 1,500 interrelated students at the University of California. UCEAP is maintained by strong academic excellence, energetic faculty collaboration and an interrelated support system, creating future global citizens and thought leaders.
