Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will return to Capitol Hill on Wednesday on the second day of his semi-annual update on monetary policy.
Central bank leaders will appear before the House Financial Services Committee to make prepared remarks and participate in question and answer sessions with lawmakers.
During testimony on Tuesday before the Senate Banking Committee, Powell made comments this year indicating that policymakers will take a patient approach to determining interest rates. Additionally, he worked together on multiple questions and banking regulations, dismissing the possibility of a central bank’s digital currency sponsored by the Fed.
