We are seeking two Special Education Assistant Educators to serve in the Lisle School District for the 2024-25 school year. Both positions work 32.5 hours per week on an academic year schedule. general responsibilities
Reporting directly to special education teachers, special education paraeducators are responsible for supporting and assisting students with disabilities in a variety of school settings. Special education paraeducators assist special education teachers in preparing lesson plans in accordance with the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP). One-on-one and small group instruction. Classroom management. Observing and evaluating students. and communication with parents and staff.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. You must meet one of the following educational requirements: Associate’s degree. or 48 semester/72 quarter credits from an accredited university. A passing score of 461 on the ORParaPro Assessment.
