Dr. Choi Yuk-rin
27 October 2024 – (Hong Kong) Education Secretary Dr Che Yu-kling is scheduled to begin a visit to Jiangxi Province and Beijing tomorrow, 28 October. The visit includes important initiatives aimed at strengthening educational cooperation between Hong Kong and the mainland.
During his visit to Jiangxi Province, Dr. Choi will attend the opening ceremony of the first mainland study tour for students enrolled in citizenship and social development subjects, to be held in Ganzhou. Furthermore, they will also participate in activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the supply of Tongjiang Channel to Hong Kong. A highlight of her visit will be working with representatives from the Jiangxi Ministry of Education to sign a memorandum of understanding on educational cooperation between Jiangxi and Hong Kong.
After completing his activities in Jiangxi Province, Dr. Choi will head to Beijing to participate in the 25th China International Education Annual Conference and Expo, where he is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech promoting the “Study in Hong Kong” initiative.
Dr. Choi is scheduled to return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of October 31st. During his absence, Deputy Education Minister Sze Chun-fai will serve as acting deputy education minister.
