LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A business owner who admitted to accepting money to build two swimming pools but never followed through has been sentenced in Bullitt County. Tracy Davenport was sentenced to five years’ probation on October 24th, and will not serve any time in prison.

In January 2023, WAVE reported that people were paying tens of thousands of dollars for unfinished pool installations, with some orders exceeding $100,000. Davenport Extreme Pool and Spa opened in early 2019 but closed in late 2022 after running out of funding.
Davenport must pay back the money he took from two customers he defrauded in Bullitt County. Her suspended sentence will last until she can repay her debt to the victim.
According to the contract, Davenport must pay more than $46,000 to each victim. The actual amount she will have to pay will be revealed at a hearing in January 2025.
Davenport was previously convicted in similar cases in Clark County and Floyd County, Indiana, and was sentenced to 730 days in prison.
