BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) – Louisiana State Superintendent Dr. Cade Brumley is scheduled to speak at the Bossier Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, October 22nd.
Mr. Brumley will be the final featured guest in the Chamber of Commerce’s fall public policy series. This series has featured Gov. Jeff Landry, Sen. Bill Cassidy, and insurance.

The Chamber of Commerce said it was important to listen to civil servants to keep the business community abreast of new policies and information. Brumley is expected to speak on developments at the state Department of Education.
Earlier this month, Bramley University announced it would significantly reduce the amount of time students spend taking tests. The Los Angeles Department of Education will reduce the amount of time students take state assessments by 20 percent.
Brumley is familiar with ArkLaTex, having previously served as superintendent of DeSoto Parish Schools for six years. He is scheduled to speak at a ticketed event at 8 a.m.
