Regardless of what Punxsutawney Phil claims, Spring is ongoing. How do you know? Of course, buds bloom. Nothing makes the air feel warmer than seeing this traditional sign, so we’ve put together a list of the top eight flowers of this season. I know what you’re wondering. This flower is known for its creamy white petals, lush green leaves and sweet aromas, and is wonderful both inside and outside the home. “These flowers thrive in warm, damp climates with partial tints, add timeless charm to any space. Whether they are placed on a windowsill or lining up garden paths, gardenia is the ultimate flower choice for the season,” says Diana.

4. Hyacinth
Jennifer Hansen, owner of Plant Eden, said: This flower grows relatively easily and can be cared for, but it is ideal to plant hyacinth bulbs in the fall, so it is necessary to plan ahead. Jennifer recommends “keep it cool during the winter and keep it in a potted container that you bring indoors.” Whether you plant them outdoors or “you decide to combine them with flower arrangements, hyacinths bring joy and vitality to your home and help you celebrate the spirit of spring in a fun way,” adds Jennifer.
5. narcissus
“It brings a special narcissism [daffodils] “We’re looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Mollie Payne, Foothill Farm Flowers founder and CEO. “The soft pastel bloom brightens the cheerful flowers and fills Ean with a fresh, sweet fragrance,” continues Molly.
Daffodils work well indoors, so Marisa Chawner from Homey Blue Heron advises us to start from the inside.
“Whether planting outside or inside one type of vase or a mixture of many varieties, Narcissus adds a touch of natural beauty and marks the beginning of a warmer day,” says Molly.

6. Hellebore
As spring blooms in late winter/spring, hellebore buds are a very welcome sight, especially in vibrant colors and patterns. The plant “is available in a variety of colors, including white, pink, yellow, green, blue, maroon, apricot, and can have dots, freckles, or dark bands called picoties along the edge of the petal,” explains Reina Rosales, owner of Crane’s work.
For maximum enjoyment, Judy Tsukida, president of Phena Flowers, recommends “planting these helboa between all the perennials to get a spring look.” They do a great job of bringing early colors to your garden, but they also “provides color all year round as they remain green throughout the winter as the plants don’t come back,” explains Reina. These flowers are so beautiful that you know if you want to bring them inside, but don’t forget to be careful when dealing with them as they are toxic when ingested.
7. Lily of the Valley
Add valley lilies to your garden this spring to get an elegant magical fairy look. These delicate bell-shaped flowers have a sweet fragrance and are perfect for shady, damp environments. The lilies of the valley not only symbolize purity and humility, but also in some cultures it is also a sign of a return to happiness (like spring after a long, cold winter).
9. ranunculus
If you want to add a bright and happy pop to your bouquet, look no further than Ranunculus. These flowers are lively, eye-catching, and are known for their layered petals. You can plant them, but Leslie Fraccogna, floral designer at Tulip Floral, suggests, “I recommend pop them in freshwater, give them quick trim and let the spring do that. After all, “Spring is a fresh start, and there’s nothing better than putting fresh spring flowers inside,” says Leslie.
10. Snowball bush
“One of the most enjoyable ways to celebrate this vibrant time is to plant beautiful spring flowers in your garden,” says Jennifer. What will you plant? She recommends Vabreunum opulus, commonly known as the snowball bush. These flowers are also “very durable and certainly come back every spring with lush flowers,” says Jennifer. She adds, “They can not only add a splash of color and life to your outdoor space, but they can also bring your home indoors to brighten up, making your new space even more welcoming and attractive.”

Don’t forget to stop the roses and smell them
When we say goodbye to winter, don’t forget to savor this spring season and literally smell the roses. “We embrace this change by filling our home with lively flowers that reflect the unique characters of each season,” says Sarah Moineer, owner of Arden Road Napa Gifting. Spring flowers aren’t necessarily groundbreaking, but I think “having a beautiful vase in the kitchen window with the morning sun glow” or blossoming in your garden is a great way to celebrate this season.
